 A scientist at the Bayer Crop Science Innovation Center holds a batch plate that will used to start the process of developing new seed traits, such as herbicide tolerance and insect resistance.<br />
 The Bayer Crop Science Innovation Center was established in 2010 and employs researchers in genetics, genomics and agricultural biotechnology. Much of the company’s seed and trait R&D goes through this center, which is located just miles from the Bayer greenhouses that will grow the seeds developed at the Innovation Center.
