Kurt Boundonck, the Greenhouse Group Leader for Research Triangle Park, poses with plants from Greenhouse 5. He oversees the growth of new plant strains as the modified traits are tested in various environments. It takes an average of 15 years and $130,000,000 to bring one seed and trait to market. <br />
 The Bayer Crop Science Research Triangle Park main campus houses 2 large greenhouses which are used to test grow many of the seeds that are modified nearby at the Innovation Center. Another greenhouses is currently under construction.
