 Ricky Diaz, the spokesperson for the North Carolina Republican Party, was questioned by the press after he announced the initiation of the party's "Immoral Mondays" website. The site claims to expose the out of state funding of the Moral Monday events that have been popular with democratic voters over the last few years. <br />
 A press conference was held outside the federal courthouse on the opening day of the North Carolina NAACP's case against Gov. Pat McCrory ( NC NAACP v. McCrory)<br />
 The NC NAACP contests that HB 589 (Voter ID requirements) violate Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act (42 U.S.C. 1973) and the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments of the Constitution.
