December 13, 2008. Erwin, North Carolina.. A deployment ceremony was held at Cape Fear Christian Academy for B Company 230th Brigade Support Battalion headquartered in Dunn, NC.. The unit is part of the North Carolina National Guard's 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, which has 4000 soldiers deploying to Iraq in April after training. The 30th was last deployed to Iraq in 2003-2005.
