Zero Tolerance School Policies Challenged in NC Supreme Court (25 images)

After a fight broke out at Southside High School in Chocowinity, NC in January 2008, a number of students received long term suspensions under the school district's zero-tolerance policy. Several were unable to continue their education and their futures may have been significantly changed by the event.
A court case involving 2 of the students that hopes to challenge the policy is about to arrive in the NC Supreme Court.
