June 30, 2016. Blacksburg, Virginia.
Marc Edwards and members of the Virginia Tech water sampling team, who just returned from 2 weeks in Flint, MI, move new water samples into the lab where they will be stored and tested.
Marc Edwards is a civil engineering/environmental engineer and the Charles P. Lunsford Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech. He is an expert in water quality and corrosion, and his work in Washington DC and in Flint, Michigan helped to expose high levels of lead contamination in the water supplies of those two cities, triggering investigations into the cause of the pollution.
