 After modified soy bean pants are grown to seed bearing age, they are picked and the seeds sorted very carefully according to their specific trait(s). The seeds are then shipped to facilities that will conduct field tests on the seeds. It takes an average of 15 years and $130,000,000 to bring one seed and trait to market.<br />
 The Bayer Crop Science Research Triangle Park main campus houses 2 large greenhouses which are used to test grow many of the seeds that are modified nearby at the Innovation Center. Another greenhouses is currently under construction.
