After Marc Edwards gave a presentation to under graduates at Virginia Tech on the lead in water crises in Washington DC in 2004 and the current situation in Flint, MI. students, such as Lindsey McClain, left, and Dawn Wright had their photos taken with the outspoken professor.<br />
Marc Edwards is a civil engineering/environmental engineer and the Charles P. Lunsford Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech. He is an expert in water quality and corrosion, and his work in Washington DC and in Flint, Michigan helped to expose high levels of lead contamination in the water supplies of those two cities, triggering investigations into the cause of the pollution.
