May 8, 2015. Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
The North Carolina Botanical Gardens have one of the largest collections of native carnivorous plants in the state, including these venus flytraps. The Gardens also encompass acres of plant habitats native to the state, as well nature trails for walking and recreation.
Outsiders tend to lump Chapel Hill with nearby Durham, but the more sensible pairing is with Carrboro, the adjacent town that was once a mere offshoot known as West End. Even today the transition from Chapel Hill, anchored by North Carolina'’s flagship public university, into downtown Carrboro is virtually seamless.
