A pile of batch plates await use by scientists at the Bayer Crop Science Innovation Center. The plates will used to start the process of developing new seed traits, such as herbicide tolerance and insect resistance.<br />
The Bayer Crop Science Innovation Center was established in 2010 and employs researchers in genetics, genomics and agricultural biotechnology. Much of the company’s seed and trait R&D goes through this center, which is located just miles from the Bayer greenhouses that will grow the seeds developed at the Innovation Center.
