A scientist at the Bayer Crop Science Innovation Center holds a plate of a specific soy bean strain. Different insects are introduced into multiple plates that make up a full tray for the experiment. The amount of damage done to the soy bean sample by the insects will tell scientists which bean strains are more successful.
