After they have all received their vaccinations, they join the main population and can roam the building and surrounding, fenced in grounds.. Siglinda Scarpa, originally from northern Italy, runs the Goathouse Refuge, a no kill shelter for cats. Scarpa, who is also a ceramic artist, runs the shelter with 5 full time employees and currently has over 260 cats in the refuge..
