The International Civil Rights Center & Museum is an archival center, collecting museum devoted to the international struggle for civil and human rights. The Museum celebrates the nonviolent protests of the 1960 Greensboro sit-ins, which served as a catalyst in the civil rights movement and whose 50th anniversary is Monday, February 1st, 2010. . A plaque at the entrance of the museum explains the significance of the site, the FW Woolworth store where the Greensboro 4 staged sit-ins in 1960.
