The International Civil Rights Center & Museum is an archival center, collecting museum devoted to the international struggle for civil and human rights. The Museum celebrates the nonviolent protests of the 1960 Greensboro sit-ins, which served as a catalyst in the civil rights movement and whose 50th anniversary is Monday, February 1st, 2010. . A reconstruction of a window and original shattered glass from the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, which was bombed in 1963, is included in a section about the strength of the church during the civil rights era.
