April 21, 2009. Myrtle Beach, SC.. After years of hosting hundreds of thousands of bikers for the annual Bike Week and Black Bike Week rallies, the city council of Myrtle Beach has passed new motorcycle laws to try and put an end to the rallies and promote a more family oriented experience. Many local business owners are outraged at the loss off revenue and the ordinances are to be challenged in court.. Even in the outskirts of Myrtle Beach, where strip malls and outlet stores prevail, the culture of the motorcycle is present, as seen here at the Broadway at the Beach shopping mall.
