During a home cleaning a crab is found, washed in from the canal in the flooding that devastated the neighborhood.. Due to the overwhelming lack of services provided to those residents, almost all African American,  of the hard hit Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans, Common Ground Relief was started by community activists to provide basic medical services as well as food, water and cleaning supplies to any resident in need. Volunteers have come from all over the country to offer a hand to these in need residents..
