Many contestants ran in costume, applying their make up before heading out to the course.
A North Carolina chapter of The Warrior Dash, which consists of a 5k run/walk broken up by several obstacles, was held over the weekend with thousands turning out to test their abilities in a race against the clock and each other. Participants in all age groups were sent out in heats over the course of the entire day.
